Charities
Leeds
There are two charities that support patients treated via the Leeds centre:
Leeds Hospitals Charity
Leeds Hospitals Charity is the charity of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
The Friends of the Leeds Centre for Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma
A charity supporting patient needs, equipment and research within the haematology unit.
Patients and families have supported these charities to improve care and research into PNH. If you would like further information about these charities, please ask your PNH team.
The Friends of the Leeds Centre for Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma
A charity supporting patient needs, equipment and research within the haematology unit. The Friends are a small charity run on a voluntary basis by a group of Trustees none of whom claim any costs.
The Trustees are a mix of medical staff, former NHS staff and supporters. The Trustees meet at least twice a year to consider requests for funding and to oversee financial affairs, but much business is undertaken by email or telephone in between meetings.
